Synopsis
Lloyd Vogel (Matthew Rhys) is a cynical new father of the late 1990s who is not too thrilled about his latest writing assignment being about Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks). Though Lloyd seems more concerned with the faltering relationship with his drunken father (Chris Cooper), he is surprised to discover that Rogers is more interested in talking about Lloyd than his career as a television host. From Rogers’ influence, Lloyd learns to love himself and his family to become a better person through the virtues of his gentle show and philosophy. Semi-based on the article "Can You Say ...
