Synopsis
This 2018 film from Chile, titled in Spanish as Tarde para morir joven, is directed by Dominga Sotomayor Castillo.This coming of age tale, set in an intentional community in rural Chile circa 1990, follows a teen girl named Sofía through her adolescence. The film almost has a timeless quality to it, a period unburdened by outdated technology and dusty cultural references. In this microcosm of life and society, there is much to see and learn. The story belongs to the youth questioning authority and those who wonder what is beyond where our parents said we can go.
